A 28-year-old Calumet man was arraigned Wednesday on charges stemming from an accident that seriously injured a motorcyclist back on July seventh. State Police say Justin Beigh was distracted by his cellphone when he crossed the centerline of U-S 41 in Houghton County’s Osceola Township and crashed into the cycle head on. The accident severely injured Marnieann Polkky of Hancock, who was riding on the cycle driven by her husband John. Beigh is charged with a moving violation causing serious bodily impairment.
