A Gladstone elementary school teacher is saying thank you to the community after a successful class project to collect pajamas for those less fortunate this holiday season.
Paulette Pepin tells the Radio Results Network that her second graders at Cameron Elementary School participated in the Pajama Program through the Scholastic Book Club and collected 114 pairs of PJs.
Scholastic will now give the Gladstone Schools the same number of books and she says the pajamas will be given to the local Child Protective Services program and to the Foster Closet of Delta County.
It’s the tenth year that her classes have participated in the program.
