Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET), detectives investigated suspects involved in the distribution of crystal meth in Iron Mountain Thursday morning.
During the course of the investigation, detectives observed a vehicle leave a suspected drug house. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post were requested to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs (OUID) and the occupants in the vehicle admitted to purchasing crystal meth from the residence they were seen leaving. Detectives obtained and served a search warrant at the suspected drug house.
As a result of the investigation, detectives seized over 30 grams of crystal meth and over $1,000 in cash.
The homeowner was arrested and lodged at the Dickinson County Jail for charges related to the distribution of meth.
The names and locations of the investigation are being withheld at this time as the investigation remains ongoing. Additional arrests are expected.
UPSET was assisted by officers from the Iron Mountain Police Department, MSP Iron Mountain Post, and KIND Narcotics Team.
