The M&M Area Community Foundation will host a Public Communications training on Wednesday, January 23rd. This class is offered by the Community Foundation as part of their continuing support for non-profit and charitable organizations including schools, churches, and government entities throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties.
“We have received requests from a number of area organization for assistance with messaging their mission and communicating with public media, including radio and television interviews and news story preparation,” said Paula Gruszynski MMACF Executive Director. “Assisting organizations to better tell their story is part of our mission and contributes to the overall interest and public support for what these organizations do.”
The training will be held at Bellin Health Marinette from Noon – 1:30 pm. It will include demonstrations of live interview techniques, sound bite and media communications preferences, individual coaching exercises, and opportunities for questions.
The MMACF has sought and received support from area communications professionals to provide counsel and training at the January 23rd event.
The cost of the training is ten dollars per individual and will be used to defray costs for materials and facility arrangements.
