The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle personal injury crash on US-41 near Brookton Road in Marquette Township.
Erin Seavoy (age 29) of Virginia state was driving a 2018 Toyota station wagon making a right turn into the Days Inn. Also eastbound on US-41, Barbara McNece (age 56) of Marquette was driving a 2001 Chevrolet 4-door and was preparing to slow her vehile but lost control on the snow covered road and collided with Seavoy’s vehicle. McNece was treated by EMS personnel from the Marquette Township Fire Department and transported to UP Health System, Marquette for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Seavoy was not injured in the crash. McNece was cited for Violation of the Basic Speed Limit. The deputies were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police, Marquette Township Fire Department.
