Chccolay Township Police investigated a traffic crash on Monday.
A south bound vehicle, white Ford panel van, driven by a male from Lanse MI, ran into the side of a vehicle entering US41 from Silver Creek Rd. The vehicle entering the highway, black Ford passenger car, was driven by a female from Lansing.
She is an employee of the State of MI. Evidence at the scene, and witness statements indicate that the South bound van ran a red light at the intersection, the driver was cited, and uninjured.
The female driver of the second vehicle, was trapped in her vehicle due to damage from the crash, CTFD used the “jaws of life” to extricate the driver. She was transported to MGH and treated for what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
CTPD was assisted at the scene by MPD, MSP, CTFD, UP Health Systems EMS, and Mr. Wrecker.
