Holy Name Catholic School is pleased to be the recipient of a $600 grant from the Community Foundation for Delta County.
The funds will be used to purchase backpacks, first aid kits, safety vests and whistles for Holy Name Catholic School staff to use in case of an emergency. The grant request was written by Holy Name Catholic School’s Alumni/Development Director Michelle Bink.
Bink wrote the grant requesting funds to be used for outdoor and off-campus safety.
“We feel grateful and blessed for this donation,” Bink said. “This donation is helpful because it provides general safety for our students while outside or off-campus, whether it be from a simple bandage to an ice pack.
“Our school will benefit by having these safety tools” Bink continued. “This purchase will enhance our school’s safety preparation, in the unlikely case of an emergency, ultimately making our students safer.”
Holy Name Catholic School Principal Joseph Carlson is also thankful to the Community Foundation for its generosity. “We are humbled and grateful for the support of the Community Foundation for this donation, which will help make our school safer,” Carlson said.
