A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident late Friday night in an Iron Mountain gas station.
Iron Mountain Police say the incident happened at 9:15 p.m. at the Krist Oil store at 1017 South Stephenson Avenue.
Officers say the 22-year-old clerk was stabbed four times, and then the teen ran away to McDonald’s across the highway.
That’s where he was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center. No names have been released and police have not said why the teen allegedly stabbed the woman. She was treated and released at Dickinson County Hospital for her injuries.
Iron Mountain Police were assisted at the scene by Kingsford Public Safety, Michigan State Police, and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department.
