The Coleman School District is very grateful for the $3,500 grant which was received from the M&M Area Community Foundation through the Foundation’s Clean Energy Initiative.
The Community Foundation applied for and received a grant from the C.S. Mott Foundation for this outreach.
The funds were used by the Coleman School District to update lighting in the multipurpose room, which is used by students of all ages for various activities during the school day and after school. Thirty fixtures have been replaced with new LED panels and occupancy sensors. Along with better lighting in this area, the district will receive $750 in Focus on Energy Rebates. A big thank you goes out to the M&M Area Community Foundation’s Clean Energy Team for their assistance with the grant.
