The Bay College Board of Trustees announces the resignation of William W. Lake effective April 15, 2019.
Mr. Lake will leave the Board after 12 years of service to relocate near family outside of Delta County.
Mr. Lake’s wealth of knowledge and expertise in education has been an invaluable asset as a trustee.
Through the years he has supported construction of the Bay Soccer Fields, the Nursing Simulation and Lecture Labs, enhanced HATC and Welding facilities, the HUB, new Library, the Athletic addition at the Escanaba campus; implementation of multiple initiatives to encourage student success; led efforts to recognize veterans on campus; and was a driving force in bringing Athletics back to Bay College.
Mr. Lake’s presence and gifts will be greatly missed.
The Board of Trustees will accept applications for the unexpired term ending December 31, 2020, through April 18, 2019.
