The Michigan Department of Transportation plans to start a bridge repair project on Tuesday in Iron River.
M-DOT says it is investing $274,000 to repair the US-2 bridge over the south branch of the Iron River west of the city of Iron River.
The project includes railing and guardrail repairs and construction of new concrete slab approaches to the bridge. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals.
