The City of Escanaba says it is safe to turn off the water for those wo had “let run” orders in the city.
Tuesday’s statement:
We feel the threat of any remaining deep frost has subsided and the shallow water services are no longer prone to freezing. Therefore, since it is now safe, we are asking all customers who were authorized to let their water run this winter to please turn them off. If you haven’t already been contacted, please call the water plant to confirm that you have shut it off.
