The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $2.6 million to resurface 21.6 miles of M-123 from I-75 to H-40 in Mackinac and Chippewa counties. The work starts on Monday, and will wrap up in August.
It includes crack filling, culvert replacement, chip sealing, gravel shoulder repairs, and pavement markings. This project includes a two-year pavement warranty.

The work will require intermittent lane closures under flag control. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained at all times. An 11-foot lane width restriction will be in effect for this project.
This project will result in a smoother driving surface and increased safety, and will extend the lifespan of the roadway.
