On 13 May 2019 the Delta County Airport conducted a full scale training exercise with numerous agencies from the local area. The purpose of this exercise was to train each agencies specific function in the event of an aircraft mishap at the Delta County Airport. The training event included a plane simulator that produced a scenario very similar to actual fire produced in many aircraft mishaps.
“It is imperative that all of our local agencies get together to rehearse for an aircraft mishap. It is training that has proven to save lives. Our local agencies understand that, and it showed in today’s training regimen. The participation from everyone here today was very impressive.” Airport Manager Jeffery Sierpien
