At approximately 8;42 p.m., on Saturday, May 25, Escanaba Public Safety officers were dispatched to 3830 13.75 (Old State Road) in regards to a structure fire.
Upon arriving, officers observed a large shed behind a detached garage to be fully engulfed. The fire spread quickly to the detached garage and it started on fire. An exterior and interior attack was conducted and the fire was suppressed.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by the Ford River Township Fire Department and the Delta County Central Dispatch.
