The Iron Mountain Police report the arrest of a 52-year-old man on charges of Child Sexually Abusive Material and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.
Edwin C Mattson, Director of Iron Mountain Police and Fire Services, said in a press release that, “The Iron Mountain Fire Department, after the issuance of an arrest warrant by Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards, has arrested Marc Gauthier.“
Gauthier 52 years of age is currently in the custody of the Michigan Department of Corrections for unrelated previous convictions from 2016.
Gauthier was charged with the following ten felonies as well as a habitual offender notice, arraigned in 95-B District Court and returned to the custody of the Michigan Department of Corrections.
- Five Counts of: Computers – Using to Commit a Crime
- (Felony: 7 Years and/or $5,000.00)
- Five Counts of: Child Sexually Abusive Material – Possession
- (Felony: 4 Years and/or $10,000.00)
- Habitual Offender – Fourth Offense Notice
This lengthy investigation stems from an incident that occurred in September, 2016 at an Iron Mountain motel.
