The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is hosting Michigan Safe Drinking Water Virtual Town Halls that will be live streamed at 6 p.m. EST today (July 10) and July 11. The first town hall took place July 9.
The events will provide information on sampling conducted in communities throughout Michigan to test for lead in drinking water. Each town hall will include a presentation by staff from EGLE and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and allow time to answer questions submitted online. Remaining town halls are:
- July 10, 6-7 p.m. EST – Northern Lower Michigan residents
- July 11, 6-7 p.m. EST – Upper Peninsula residents
To submit questions for the town halls, send emails to EGLE-TownHall@Michigan.gov.
