The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be conducting routine maintenance of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge between Houghton and Hancock Tuesday and Wednesday evening, requiring lane closures.
Bridge maintenance is scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, and Wednesday, July 24. This work will require single-lane closures between 7 and 10 p.m. each day.
The work will help ensure continued safe and reliable operation of the bridge.
