Calumet Electronics engineer Audra Thurston will be meeting and speaking with President Donald Trump and Special Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump on Thursday, July 25, at 3:30 p.m. at the White House in Washington D.C.
The event will be broadcast live on Whitehouse.gov.
Thurson, 23, and a recent graduate of Michigan Technological University, is speaking as part of an event marking the one-year anniversary of President Trump’s Executive Order to develop a national strategy to expand the skilled workforce in key industries like manufacturing.
This comes is on the heels of the Chris Pilkerton’s visit to Calumet Electronics on Tuesday. Pilkerton is the U.S. Small Business Administration Acting Administrator and recognized Calumet Electronics as a company who signed the pledge as a part of the IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries’ pledge of 1 million job and reskilling opportunities.
