The signal at the intersection of US-2/US-41 and South Hill Road in Gladstone is in flash mode while repairs are being made.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) urges motorists to use caution when approaching the intersection.This signal will be in flash mode today while emergency repairs to control equipment are being made. The signal is expected to resume normal operation sometime Tuesday.
There was an accident at that intersection Monday at just before 2:00 in the afternoon. Public Safety says an 85-year-old Gladstone man was crossing the South Hill Road intersection and went into the path of a car going down the highway, driven by a 50-year-old Gladstone man.
The 85-year-old man was treated at Saint Francis Hospital and a 79-year-old passenger was airlifted to Marquette for treatment.
