Dickinson County Healthcare System (DCHS) is excited to add to its growing team of excellent health care providers for the local community. Dr. Elizabeth Mackey, DO is expanding the expertise in family medicine, health and wellness and is practicing at the Dickinson Primary Care Center.
As a family medicine provider, Dr. Mackey is board certified in Emergency Medicine and specializes in health care services for patients of all ages. Dr. Mackey has worked in health care for more than 20 years and after practicing in Lower Michigan, she and her family moved to the Upper Peninsula in 2010 for “a better way of life”.
Dr. Mackey is anxious to begin seeing patients and she is looking forward to continuing to serve the community. She notes, “After 20 plus years of providing Emergency Medicine, I am at a point in my career where I want to have long term relationships with my patients.”
Dr. Mackey completed Medical School at the Michigan State University (MSU) College of Emergency Medicine and completed her residencies at MSU and Ingham Regional Medical Center.
Originally from East Lansing, MI; Dr. Mackey enjoys swimming, rowing, and gardening. Her two favorite things are spending time with her husband Jim, who is a retired paramedic / firefighter and together with Jim, raising their son Eric, a high school freshman. She also enjoys sewing, knitting and cooking.
