On Saturday, September 14, 2019. Pridefest, the Upper Peninsula’s annual celebration of LGBTQ+ diversity, returns to Marquette at Tourist Park from 12 PM – 10 PM.
This annual event will host vendors and artisans from all over the UP, several local food trucks, community organizations, social service providers, and of course entertainment that will take place center stage ranging from the sublime to the sensational.
Pridefest has become one of Marquette’s favorite festivals with attendance in the thousands.
While diversity is the main theme of the event, there is also outreach to community members as UP Rainbow Pride continues to raise funds for the UP LGBT+ Center, a facility to house office space for regional planning as well as create a drop-in resource for those seeking education, direction, and support regarding LGBT+ issues.
