The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $1.2 million to remove a deteriorated culvert and construct a precast concrete culvert on M-35 over a tributary of O’Neal Creek in Marquette County. Work also includes guardrail, asphalt approach work, and pavement markings.
The project map is available on Mi Drive.
The work will require single-lane closures. One alternating lane will be open via temporary traffic signal. An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect from Sept. 27 until Nov. 22. Lane closures are expected to end Nov. 22 with final paving to be completed by June 10, 2020.
This project will increase safety and extend the lifespan of the roadway.
