M&M Area Community Foundation Women’s Giving Circle donated a generous grant to the Menominee County Sheriff Victim’s Service Unit for Crisis Kits to provide to victims when there is a traumatic situation.
SO many lives will be affected positively by this generous grant.
Volunteers Alison Christy and Co-coordinator Lori Van accept this grant for the VSU.
The Women’s Giving Circle Endowment Fund is designated for projects and programs which address issues directly impacting women and girls throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties.
Since 2009, the Women’s Giving Circle Endowment Fund has awarded more than $75,000 to non-profits, schools, churches and government entities.
Grant funding is made available through the charitable contributions of local donors through endowments established and managed by the MMACF. By establishing an endowment with the MMACF, donors support local nonprofit organizations and provide scholarships.
The M&M Area Community Foundation encourages broad community participation in its mission and welcomes new donors and volunteers. Since its founding in 1994 the MMACF has tackled some of the area’s toughest challenges in education, healthcare, poverty, public safety and human services.
The Foundation routinely works with families, individuals, attorneys and estate and financial planners to design gift plans that ensure donors receive the most benefit from their charitable contributions. Community foundations build and strengthen the places we live by providing the means for both private and corporate donors to create permanent funds targeted to identified community needs.
