Jennifer Lynn Verbrigghe, 39, of Escanaba was sentenced to 6 months in the Delta County Jail.
Verbrigghe was sentenced following the entry of a guilty plea to Resisting & Obstructing a Police Officer. Verbrigghe was also sentenced to 24 months on probation.
On November 14, 2018, Troopers from Michigan State Police Gladstone Post responded to a disorderly female at a location in Rock, Michigan. Upon arrival, the Troopers made contact with Verbrigghe who was highly intoxicated. Troopers placed her under arrest for Disorderly-Drunk. As Verbrigghe was hand cuffed, she started to yell and scream obscenities. Verbrigghe dropped to her knees and resisted the Troopers being placed in the patrol vehicle. Verbrigghe began spitting and kicking at the troopers.
