Andrew Carl Lafave, 31, of Gladstone was sentenced to 23 months to 7 years in Michigan Department of Corrections.
Lafave was sentenced after the entry of a guilty plea to Delivery of Suboxone and Furnishing Contraband to Prisoners.
On April 29, 2019, officers from Escanaba Department of Public Safety arrested Lafave for a trespassing charge. Once at the jail, Delta County Sheriff’s Office, MI Corrections Officers observed surveillance video of Lafave handing items to another inmate in a cell. Deputies from Delta County Sheriff’s Office, MI interviewed the inmates in that cell and determined that Lafave had brought Suboxone into the jail. A search of the cell located a portion of a Suboxone strip and a partial white pill.
