At approximately 0348 hrs, Saturday 10-19-2019, the Chippewa Co Sheriff’s Office, Pickford Fire and Rescue and Central Dispatch all received and responded to a reported rollover traffic crash.
The crash was reported to be on M-48 near Hanna Rd. The vehicle was found with the driver and only occupant trapped inside. Observations on the scene appears to show that speed was a factor.
The vehicle drifted off the side of M-48 and hit a culvert resulting in the vehicle to launch into the air for 132 feet.
Detectives and accident investigators from the Chippewa Co Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
The driver, Joshua Patrick Goodell (18 yr old) from the Pickford area was transported to the hospital and passed away earlier this morning.
