The 93rd District Court Probation Department in Alger and Schoolcraft Counties has run a community service program since 2015 where who are assigned community service hours by the court can make blankets for local nonprofits.
Magistrate Dave Maddox says that the blanket program…which is supervised by Senior Probation Agent Greg Schultz… delivers the blankets every December to those in need.
The numbers are in and since the program started, they have now delivered more than 1,000 blankets in the two counties.
