A Gladstone woman was critically hurt in a traffic crash Monday afternoon in Delta County.
Sheriffs Seargant Tom Lewis says the accident happened at just before 3 in the afternoon at the US-2-and-41 intersection with County Road 426. He says that 33-year-old Trisha Heider was turning off of 426 when 24-year-old Jason Sanford of Bark River came through the intersection and T-Boned Heider’s vehicle.
Heider was airlifted to UP Health System Marquette where she was listed in critical condition this afternoon. Sanford suffered minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

On 12/23/19 at approximately 2:45pm, Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury accident at the intersection of US2-41 and County 426 M.5 Road. A vehicle driven by 33 year old Trisha Heider of Gladstone was pulling off of County 426 M.5 Road onto US2-41 when her vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by 34 year old Jason Sanford of Bark River.
Heider had to be extricated from her vehicle by the Jaws of Life. Heider was air lifted to UP Health Systems in Marquette by Valley Med. At the time of this press release, Heider is listed as being in critical condition. The accident remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police, Escanaba Public Safety, Rampart, Valley Med Flight, Gene’s Towing and Delta County Central Dispatch.
