A fire has destroyed the WDMJ AM 1320 radio tower in Marquette County.
Local Three News reports that the fire happened Monday night and that the 260-foor-tower was knocked to the ground. The tower also served Catholic radio station WNOA-FM 103.9.
Both stations were off the air and Local Three News reports that the hope is to have a temporary antenna soon.
WDMJ is owned by Soverign Communications. Our parent company, Armada Media, announced earlier this year that it was buying the station and it would become a part of the Radio Results Network. That sale is still in progress.
