The Habitat for Humanity Menominee River affiliate regrettably announces the closure of our Iron River ReStore located at 211 West Maple Street, Iron River, MI 49935.
HFHMR was informed by local authorities that on 1/27/2020 the roof of the property suffered a catastrophic failure and collapsed, likely due to heavy snow loads. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and adjacent properties were temporarily evacuated due to risk of natural gas leaks and fire potential.
The Iron River ReStore will remain closed indefinitely until the full extent of damages can be assessed, however donations and items available for purchase supporting the ReStore, can continue to be made at the Kingsford ReStore at 113 S. Milwaukee Ave, Kingsford, MI 49802.
