The Escanaba City Water Department issued this statement Monday morning:
Due to the fact that toilet paper is sold out in our area, we are here to remind you to only flush toilet paper down the toilet. Just because other paper products seem similar to toilet paper, it does not mean the paper will break down and dissolves once flushed. Save yourself from needless headaches related to plugged pipes.
