Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the continued spread of the virus throughout the Country and the State of Wisconsin, Marinette County is reminding everyone to follow the Safer at Home guidance issued by Governor Evers in his statewide order.
Marinette County is recommending that all residents, seasonal and permanent, be vigilant.
This is a community spread disease.
If you determine for your own safety that it is necessary to relocate to your seasonal home please do so with the utmost of caution. We ask you to self-quarantine for a minimum of two weeks.
Bring groceries and other supplies that will last you for that time. Listen to local television and radio stations for the latest information from Marinette County. If you haven’t been to your property for a few months and believe it is necessary to visit your property to ensure everything is in order, or you’re just looking for a day in the outdoors, please limit stops while in Marinette County and practice good social distancing.
This is for your safety and the safety of others in the community. Stop the spread of COVID-19 by:
• Staying home if you don’t feel well
• Maintain a small group of people with which you have contact
• Assign one person to visit the grocery store for food and supplies. It doesn’t take more than one person to shop.
• Social distancing – maintain a minimum of six feet from others
• If you relocate to a new area to live or stay, self-quarantine for a minimum of two (2) weeks
• Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as frequently as possible or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available
• Avoid touching face or eyes
• Cover coughs or sneezes with sleeve or elbow, not hands
• Regularly clean high-touch surfaces
• Avoid shaking hands
It is the responsibility of each and every person to do their part to stop this disease from spreading. Please take this diseases seriously for it has no boundaries.
