Inge Ford, Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), has joined the team of Dental providers at Upper Great Lakes Sawyer Family Health Center (UGL).
Dr. Ford is originally from Texas where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Degree from University of Houston and her Master of Science in Biology Degree from Texas Southern University, also in Houston.
Dr. Ford was a researcher and secondary educator in Texas before she moved to Florida for dental school, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from University of Florida – College of Dentistry in Gainesville. She lived and practiced in south Florida for almost 30 years. Wanting to learn about different regions and cultures has led Dr. Ford to live in areas such as on the U.S. east coast, Canada, and abroad in North Africa. She looks forward to working in the Upper Peninsula.
Says Ford, “the U.P. seems like another interesting area with a need I can help with. I’m looking forward to working with new people and extending patient care.” Helping patients understand their treatment options for their best possible health outcome is something Dr. Ford strives for. She enjoys all aspects of patient care.
Dr. Ford is a certified yoga therapist and integrative wellness educator. She enjoys bicycling (both commuting and long rides), creating “good-tasting” vegan meals, homebrewing kombucha with unique flavors, beekeeping, quilting, and gardening. She gives credit to her family – 4 adult children (2 daughters and twin son) and 5 grandchildren – for supporting her in her curiosity.
UGL’s Sawyer Family Health Center is located at 301 Explorer Street, Gwinn, MI. To schedule an appointment with Inge Ford, DMD, call 906-346-9275.
