The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 1,054 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday and 11 new deaths.
Michigan now has 124,687 positive test results since the crisis began back in March, and 6,762 deaths.
The Upper Peninsula added 149 new positive tests on Wednesday and no new deaths, accoring to the MDHHS.
The U.P. now has 2,429 total cases since the crisis began in March. There have been 30 deaths reported in the U.P. during the pandemic.
The state also has 13,187 “probable cases” and 321 “probable deaths” that are not confirmed by a positive test result, but COVID-19 is believed to be the cause.
The U.P. also has 345 probable cases and one probable death.
The state says that 95, 051 people have recovered from the virus. This is defined as being alive 30 days after the positive test or diagnosis. This will be updated again next Saturday.
The U.P.’s ten hospitals, as of Monday, were caring for a combined 17 COVID patients, and there were eight others in intensive care units. OSF Saint Francis Hospital and U.P. Health System both have six patients plus three patients each in the intensive care unit. This was not updated Tuesday or Wednesday.
