The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Saturday reported 3,792 new coronavirus positive test results, and eleven new deaths. State officials also went through death certificates and matched them to previous positive tests, and they added 20 more deaths to the total.
There were 200 new cases in the Upper Peninsula, including 48 in Marquette County, 39 in Delta County and 38 in Dickinson County.
The Western UP Health Department on Saturday reported the first COVID-19 death in Ontnagon County. The person who died was elderly and was hospitalized in the UP. No further details were given.
There were also new deaths reported Saturday in Marquette and Menominee Counties.
The Marquette County Health Department said Friday evening that The Throttle Bar and Grill in Little Lake is a potential public exposure site for COVID-19 infections. If you were there last Tuesday the 27th, between 4 and 7 p.m., you should monitor for symptoms.
The Western U.P. Health Department said Friday night that the Citizens State Bank in Ontonagon is a potential public exposure site for COVID-19 infections. This is for people who were there between October 16th and October 28th. People, again, should monitor for symptoms.
