The Northern Michigan University League of Legends eSports team played their first match of the semester and the first match of the College League of Legends Season, Saturday, earning a clean 2-0 sweep over the Cornell College Rams.
The first game saw a strong carry performance out of Jungler Austin “Not in my House” Bergquist on Taliyah. He picked up a Quadra on his way to a 14/3/13 scoreline with 238 CS while dealing 35 percent of the team damage to champions.
Game two saw Top Laner Dillon “Lost Astartes” Gaines play non-selfish League of Legends, sacrificing CS and his lane to help propel his teammates to a victory while still having an impressive 12/3/9 scoreline and led the team in damage to enemy champions.
The MVP for the series goes to Austin “Not in my House” Bergquist, posting a 23/4/20 combined scoreline and a 10.75 KDA.
The team moves to 1-0 in the College League of Legends season and looks forward to next week in anticipation for strong competition.
