The Oshkosh Police Department located the suspect vehicle involved in Grand Chute’s Homicide Investigation which occurred yesterday at the Fox River Mall.
At approximately 7:30 AM, officers received information that the suspect vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Avenger with the license plate AHP7939 was parked in the 200 Block of W 20th Avenue in the City of Oshkosh.
Officers arrived on scene and located this vehicle parked in a driveway. Officers and detectives from the Oshkosh Police Department and the Grand Chute Police Department made contact with several individuals inside of that residence. During the investigation, four occupants became physically combative with officers and were subsequently taken into custody. These individuals are a 15 year old male, a 16 year old female, a 18 year old female and a 37 year old female and all were arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting.
At this time, the Grand Chute Police Department is still actively looking to locate Dezman V. Ellis, who is still considered armed and dangerous. On Sunday, January 31st, 2021, at around 3:30 pm, officers from the Grand Chute Police Department along with numerous other agencies responded to the Fox River Mall, 4301 W. Wisconsin Avenue, in the Town of Grand Chute for a report of shots being fired inside the main mall corridor.
Officers arrived on scene and conducted a preliminary search for threats inside the Fox River Mall. Officers located two victims who had been shot. One victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was treated and released. The second victim, identified as 19-year-old Jovanni J. Frausto, died as a result of the injuries. A thorough search of the mall was conducted to locate and safely escort those who had sheltered in place.
At this time, investigators are attempting to locate and speak with Dezman V. Ellis (06/10/2003) for his involvement in this incident. Investigators believe Dezman is riding in a blue, 2012 Dodge Avenger bearing Wisconsin license plate AHP7939. This event is believed to have been a targeted incident and Mr. Ellis is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you see Mr. Ellis, please contact law enforcement immediately.
