Throughout 2020, employees of The Stephenson National Bank & Trust (SNBT) have dressed down to raise money for local charities. The program is dubbed “Jeans for Greens” and it takes place on Fridays when SNBT employees make personal donations to local non-profits in exchange for wearing their favorite blue jeans.
“As part of our culture of community leadership, SNBT employees are always looking for ways to give back,” said Kathleen Bergquist, SNBT Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “The ‘Jeans for Greens’ program was developed for just that reason, to give back while having a little fun with casual attire.”
At year end, SNBT employees paid a total of $5,000 to 12 different organizations including: The First Tee of Northeast Wisconsin, Camp Daniel, Crivitz Area Woman’s Club, M&M Area Youth Hockey Association, Marinette/Menominee Rotary Clubs, Little River Township Fire Dept., Friends of the Wausaukee Library, Freedom for Patriots, Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Service (UPAWS), Wisconsin Bankers Association, Pembine Youth Center through Grace Lutheran Church, and Keep Wisconsin Warm/Cool Fund.
The program will be continuing in 2021 and has been well received by SNBT employees and customers alike. Participating in “Jeans for Greens” is just one of the many ways that enable SNBT to continue achieving the objective of being “My Bank for Good.”
