Bark River Speedway: ‘Not Being Sold; Committed To Races’

The Bark River International Speedway says it is NOT being sold, and there WILL be races this fall.

The speedway and Bark River Lions Club took to Facebook on Tuesday to dispel rumors. That post is below:

We wish to take this opportunity to inform the off-road race community that the Bark River Lions Club and Bark River Int’l Raceway are moving forward with planning our 45th annual off-road race event for 2021. The race weekend is scheduled for August 13-15, 2021. Information with regard to making reservations for camping and ticket sales will be forthcoming.

There have been many rumors circulating about the future of Bark River International Raceway. Here are the facts:

1. Although we did not hold an event in 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, we are fully committed to a return to racing in 2021.

2. The Bark River International Raceway HAS NOT been sold. No offers to sell the raceway have been made or received. The Bark River Lions Club continues to own and operate the raceway and there are no current negotiations to sell the raceway.

3. The Bark River Lions Club is committed to providing the best experience for our racers, fans, sponsors and volunteers at the best possible value. There have been no discussions about raising our fees for 2021 and we will continue to make our event as affordable as possible for everyone.

We hope that you will continue to support the best professional off-road racing series in the USA at Bark River International Raceway this summer. After a very difficult choice to cancel in 2020, we are “full-steam ahead” as we prepare for 2021. We look forward to seeing you in August.
