Marquette Health Department Urges Young People To Get Vaccine

The Marquette County Health Department on Tuesday urged young people to get the COVID-19 vaccine, saying that it is not an “innocent” disease for young people to contract.

And the department noted that of the 102 people aged 18-29 who have been hospitalized at UPHS for COVID in between February and April, none had been vaccinated. There was one “possible” case of a vaccinated person getting sick. Altugether, about six percent of all Marquette County cases required hospitalization.
