In preparation for the summer recreation season, Hiawatha National Forest is providing the following reminders and updates for Forest customers:
- All camping reservations are made online at www.recreation.gov.
- Dead and down permits are required for firewood gathering. These permits are free until October 1, 2021. Please call one of our District Offices to acquire a permit.
- Our offices are closed on all federal holidays.
- Most of our offices remain closed for public health and safety. However, we are conducting business curbside and via email.
