A man suffered burns in a fire inside an Escanaba apartment Tuesday night.
Escanaba Public Safety says the call came in at around 9:15 p.m. to come the 600 block of Francis Court. When crews got there, they found the man had burns on his face and hands because of an explosion of butane gas. It was being used to get the chemical THC out of marijuana.
The unidentified man was taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital and later transferred to a burn center. The neighbor who called in the fire was not hurt.
