The Environmental Club at Marquette Senior High School is working with an organization called Tree-Plenish to offset the amount of paper used at MSHS.
With this organization, they are trying to get the MSHS community to purchase and plant (or have students from the Environmental Club plant for them) 140 sapling trees. The trees available are all native species: Red Maple (Acer rubrum), Red Oak (Quercus rubra), and Quaking Aspen (Populus tremuloides), and cost is $5 a piece.
The website, tailored to their event, for ordering the trees and helping to offset paper use at MSHS is: http://tpevents.org/school/2211. The deadline for ordering trees is 4/13/22. If you have any questions, you can email the Environmental Club advisor, Mr. Atwood at satwood@mapsnet.org.
