The Escanaba Public Library will kick off its summer schedule of programs on Wednesday, June 8, with several special events.
At 4:30 pm, the Summer Reading Program will feature Joel Tacey and his Page Surfer Magic Show.
Families are encouraged to come to the City Council chambers and enjoy this highly-acclaimed entertainer.
Following the show, the Friends of the Escanaba Public Library’s annual Ice Cream Social makes a return to the north lawn of the library at 6 pm. Entertainment will be provided by the Escanaba City Band. Bad weather will move the event indoors. In conjunction with both of these free events, there will be a Used Book Sale. Fiction, nonfiction, hardcover, and paperback books, as well as CDs and DVDs, will be $1.00 each. Proceeds go to the Friends of the Escanaba Public Library.
The Escanaba Public Library is located at 400 Ludington Street in downtown Escanaba.
