Preparation is underway for the 23rd annual Downtown Marquette Blueberry Festival, set for Friday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Downtown Marquette. The 100 block of W. Washington St., the 100 & 200 blocks of S. Front St., and W. Main St. will have sidewalk sales, food vendors, artists, musicians, pony rides, and more. Downtown restaurants will satisfy your cravings for blueberry fare, from blueberry pizza to blueberry beer, while many downtown shops offer will offer “blue” specials.
Music will fill the streets as live musicians perform throughout the day at three locations throughout the festival: near the Phil Niemisto Pocket Park on W. Washington St., near the corner of Front and Washington Streets, and near the Rosewood Walkway on S. Front St.
