Get your Halloween spirit on and experience the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Island Showroom, October 21 and 22.
Barry Bostwick, acclaimed star of this original cult classic and modern-day Hollywood icon, explains why The Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of film history’s most enduring classics.
“It’s fun, noisy and rude and only exists today because of the dedicated fan base and incredible ‘shadow casts’ from around the world. The Shadow Cast hilariously acts out the movie on stage while the movie plays on screen,” he explained. “They make it spectacular entertainment every show. It is nicely naughty! They bring the party. They invite you to participate,” he said.
Tickets to experience this interactive sensation at the Island Resort & Casino Showroom are still available for just $28. There is a costume contest with cash prizes for first through third place. Prop bags are available for purchase. No personal props will be allowed in the Showroom. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. ET and the movie starts at 8 p.m.
The Shadow Cast will also be overseeing the costume contest.
“We typically have enthusiastic Showroom attendees, and our Halloween Party has always been a big draw, so I fully expect to have a huge showing of people in costumes from the movie,” said Vicki Griggs, Island Special Services Manager. “The Rocky Horror Picture Show will play the third weekend in October and is sure to ramp up the excitement of the Halloween season,” she said.
