The GFWC-Escanaba Woman’s Club donated funds to the Escanaba Catherine Bonifas Civic Center After School Program. Funds will be used to supply food, hygiene products and school supplies to students in 4th to 12th grades.
Recreation Director Kim Peterson stated, “The Civic Center will be opening up for students on Monday, October 3rd. Hours will be 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and Saturdays 12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. We are grateful for the funding to open the After School Program back up since we have been closed since March 2020 due to Covid.”
The Catherine Bonifas Civic Center is still in need of part-time employees. If anyone is interested, they can go to www.escanaba.org for a job description and application to apply for a Part-Time Civic Center Attendant position.
