A Marinette woman is dead afterbeing shot Thursday afternoon.
Marinette City Police say the call came in at 4:00 in the afternoon at the Trolley Station Apartments in the 1500 block of Main Street. When police got there, they found the 32-year-old victim suffering from the gunshot wound, and they administered first aid.
The woman later died at the Bay Area Medical Center.
The 31-year-old man who is suspected of shooting her fled the scene, but was later taken into custody without incicdent. He waas treated for minor injuries at the hospital and then taken to jail.
