The Poetry Slam will be a celebration of love or its absence by local word wizards. Poets will demonstrate their verbal magic at The Honorable Distillery, 136 W. Washington St., Marquette, Monday, Feb. 13th at 8pm. Celebrity judges will award prizes to three winners. Come choose and cheer for your favorite bards. Taste fine spirits the Honorable Way. Donate to the U.P. Poet Laureate Foundation, a 501(c)(3), and bring home a bouquet for yourself or the one you love.
Signup begins at 7:30 pm. Performances start at 8 pm.
Competition rules: Bring three 3 minute long poems of ANY style, Each poet will read one poem per round, Eliminations will begin at the end of each round, Bring only your own poems, no music, HAVE FUN.
